David M Cole
Chairman and Director
Mr Cole has over 25 years of industry experience, and is the President and CEO of major IG Copper shareholder, Eurasian Minerals. Prior to Eurasian Minerals, Mr Cole worked at Newmont Mining Corporation where, he held a number of management and senior geologic positions, gaining extensive global experience as a project, mine, and generative exploration geologist in Nevada, Southeast Asia, South America, Europe, and Central Asia.
Mr Cole’s success as part of Newmont’s exploration team includes contributions at the world class Carlin Trend, Yanacocha, and Minahasa mines. Subsequently, he established and managed Newmont’s exploration programs in Turkey while also identifying early-stage acquisition targets in Eastern Europe. Mr Cole specializes in developing new exploration ideas and opportunities, based upon solid technical expertise coupled with a keen business sense. He studied at Colorado State University, earning an M.S. in Geology.
Thomas E Bowens
President, CEO and Director
Thomas Bowens is a certified professional geologist with over twenty-five years of international experience in the minerals exploration industry, and has spent the last nineteen years based in Mongolia (1998-2006) and Russia (since 2005). Prior to founding IG Copper in 2009, Mr Bowens was the Vice President of Exploration and Chief of Operations for Fortress Minerals Corporation. He is currently based in Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East. Mr Bowens is also the General Director of OOO Amur Minerals, the Russian registered license holder of the Malmyzh Copper Gold Deposit, and the Director General of Khabarovsk Minerals, the Parent Company of Amur Minerals which is a joint venture company owned by IG Copper (51%) and Freeport McMoRan Corporation (49%). Mr Bowens has been directly responsible for two major mineral deposit discoveries in Russia in the past 12 years, Svetloye and Malmyzh, and has a track record of success in the management and operation of exploration companies. Mr Bowens is also the founder and Director General of Kolymageo LLC– an exploration drilling and geologic services company in the Russian Far East. He has worked for Cyprus Amax Exploration, Harrods Minerals, Ivanhoe Mines, and two Lundin Group Companies, International Uranium and Fortress Minerals. Mr Bowens has degrees in economics, geological engineering (Magna Cum Laude) and a master’s degree in Geology, the latter two from the Colorado School of Mines.
Mr Winn is President of Seabord Capital Corp., which provides investment analysis and financial services to companies operating in the energy and mining sectors. He is also President of Seabord Services Corp., a Canadian company that provides management, administrative, and regulatory services to private and public mining companies. Prior to starting Seabord Capital in January 2013, Mr Winn was President of Terrasearch Inc. (1997 to 2012) a predecessor company to Seabord Capital. He also worked as an analyst for Global Resource Investments Ltd. (1993 to 1997) where he specialized in the evaluation of emerging oil and gas and mining companies.
Mr Winn has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1983 and the mining industry since 1992, and is currently a director and officer of several companies operating in Canada, Latin America, Europe and Africa, including holding the position of Chairman of IG Copper’s major shareholder, Eurasian Minerals. Mr Winn received a B.Sc. in geology from the University of Southern California.
T E (Niko) Isaacs
Mr Isaacs is an American with international business experience spanning more than twenty-five years. He is the founder of Isaacs International, Inc., a business consultancy and holding company, initially completing acquisitions in the software, technology, and the telecommunications fields acquiring controlling interest in wireless companies in both Southeast Asia and Latin America. He is also founder and managing principal of Domenari Capital, a private equity firm, along with its multiple subsidiaries. He holds advanced degrees in Applied Mathematics from West Virginia State University and West Virginia University.
Mr Isaacs is a military veteran having served as an officer in the US Air Force. He has significant international business experience and is multi-lingual.
Mr Sakhanov is a native of Buryatia, East Siberia and has a doctorate degree in economics from Moscow Academy of Management. He has a distinguished career in advising and assisting the development of natural resources in Siberia and the Far East of Russia. Apart from his directorship in IGCopper, Mr Sakhanov is currently Senior Advisor to Aspera LLC, the Japan/Russia Fund for Development and commercialization of innovative technologies. He is also Advisor to IHI Corporation (Japan). Mr Sakhanov was General Director of AGRO Invest, a Russian corporation specialising in agricultural matters (land banks and industrial machinery) in Siberia and the Far East. Prior to that (2006-2009) he was the General Director of Baikal Energy, a Lundin Group company operating in Siberia, and advising leading Japanese institutions with respect to business opportunities in Russia. Mr Saikhanov has been an advisor to a Deputy in the Russian Duma (2000-2002) and the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Relations of the Republic of Buryatia (1998-1999).
John Terry Rickard Ph.D.
Dr. Rickard has 44 years of experience in advanced technology and financial organizations, all of it in management and technology development positions. Dr. Rickard is currently the CEO and a director of Till Capital, Ltd. (Nasdaq: TIL, TSX-V: TIL). He is also the CEO and a director of Silver Predator Corporation (TSX.V: SPD), a junior mining exploration company. His former positions include President and Chief Scientific Officer of OptiMark Technologies, Inc., where he was a co-inventor of the OptiMark transaction matching system and several derivative products. He also consults for companies in the financial and mining industries. Dr. Rickard has authored over 70 technical publications in several branches of engineering, and in the fields of electronic market structure, matching algorithms and trading strategies. In addition, he has authored 11 issued patents. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Physics from the University of California, San Diego, and B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology.
